MGS Membership (International)

Our Membership Year is from January 1 through December 31.

Your membership includes our quarterly journal, The Maine Genealogist, our quarterly newsletter, option to post queries on our online query board, and members-only pricing on our special publications, conferences, and workshops. This level of membership in the Society includes mailing to international addresses (excluding Canada) for Society publications.

Prefer to join by mail? You can download the MGS_Application Form, print it out and send it in along with a check to our mailing address if you prefer.

Publication Fund

The Publication fund supports the work of MGS and our volunteers to produce and publish the highest quality publications related to Maine Genealogy. The Maine Families in 1790 and Maine Vital Records books are examples of the work produced in this area.

Speaker Fund

MGS annually hosts a a state wide genealogical conference, including speakers from around Maine, New England and across the nation. Additionally every other year we hold a 1 day workshop on a specific topic related to genealogy. The Speaker Fund helps enable us to continue to bring nationally recognized speakers to these events and supports our mission of promoting and encouraging interest and scholarship in genealogy of the State of Maine.
